Sam Brown received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1962 and his law degree from Stanford University in 1965.
In 1971 Brown founded Brown and Associates Ltd., a Commercial Real Estate and Investment firm, in Denver, Colorado. He founded the Mountain Office in Dillon, Colorado in 1981.
Brown has organized and managed over 45 joint ventures and partnerships involving some $130 million in assets. Brown was in the Factory Outlet Industry for ten years. In 1988 he brought the first Factory Outlets to Colorado, the Silverthorne Factory Stores. He planned and developed the Dillon Factory Stores in Dillon, Colorado. Brown is past President of the Developers of Outlet Centers (DOC). He was the 2002 President of the Commercial Real Estate Brokers of Boulder, Colorado.
Brown has handled real estate transactions with or for the following:
Arbys, Burger King, McDonald’s, Vitamin Cottage and 7-11, Bank Western, Colorado, lST Bank of Colorado, First National Bank, Hays, Kansas, Sears, Bally Total Fitness, Big Five Sporting Goods, Dunkin Donuts and Vail Resorts
Brown has dealt with some 90 Manufacturers who have Factory Stores
including: Nautica, Donna Karan, Coach, Timberland, Phillips Van Heusen, Tommy Hilfiger, Nine West, Carters, Zales, Wilson Leather, Reebok, Casual Corner, J. Crew, Dansk, Corral West, Pacific Sunwear, Nine West
